21 Non-Financial Ways We Can Partner to Reach the Nations

We know that a huge part of reaching every person with the Gospel is resourcing the local church. Every church can play a role in fulfilling the Great Commission, even if they don’t have the ability to write checks or send workers.

Many churches want a way to connect deeper and engage their people in missions in a meaningful way. In this list, you’ll find ways to help your people pray, learn, mobilize, and advocate for missions and the unreached.

Pray Intentionally

All churches pray. But not every church has an intentional and committed prayer strategy for a specific group of people. Prayer is the most important thing we can do to reach the unreached with the Gospel. We have several ways to engage with Team Expansion and missions in prayer:

4 – Adopt a People Group – Let’s talk about our PACE program and the idea of adopting a People Group. It starts with intentional prayer and grows from there. U4theU.com/PACE

5 – Attend a Prayer Event – We attempt to hold one or more prayer events every year at Team Expansion’s home office and retreat center, Emerald Hills. These are great opportunities to help people engage in intentional prayer. TeamExpansion.link/Pray22

Mobilize the Church

Every church leader wants to see their people become active Kingdom participants. How do we move our people out of their Sunday morning seats and into the local and global streets? Here are some of the ways we make ourself available to churches who want to mobilize their people.

6 – Host a Speaker/Missionary – We’d love to send a missionary to your church to share their stories and the stories of the unreached. They could do a full sermon, a missions moment, or share in a small group setting. Contact: [email protected]

8 – Connect with our Church Missions Coach – Our Church Coach works with churches across the country to create the most effective missions strategy possible for their specific context. TeamExpansion.org/Church-Coaching

10 – Connect with TCKs (Third Culture Kids) – Learn how your church can engage with Third Culture Kids and help them thrive on their field. TeamExpansion.org/TCKministry

Train Your People

It’s easier to engage in missions when you feel equipped to do so. You don’t have to be a missionary to want to better understand God’s heart for the nations, how to make disciples who make disciples, and how we train and care for our workers here at Team Expansion. We’d love to have you come learn with us or have us come to you and do a training at your church!

11 – Host/Attend a Kairos Training – The Kairos Course will help your church develop a united vision for expanding the Kingdom of God into the most desperate places in the world. This 9-session course about God’s purpose for the nations and the role of His church can be taken at Team Expansion’s campus or we can bring facilitators to you. TeamExpansion.org/kairos

12 – Host/Attend a DMM Training – A disciple-making movement (DMM) isn’t just a strategy, it’s critical for spreading the Gospel throughout the world. Learn how to create a movement of disciples who make more disciples. We train individuals and churches in disciple making through a course called Jonathan Training. 13 – Attend a Launch Training – Lay the groundwork for a successful relationship with Team Expansion by exploring protocols, strategies, and agency DNA.
