There are 6,700 unreached people groups in the world today. That’s over 3 billion individuals. That means 40% of the world has never heard the gospel and has no one to tell them. And more than 50,000 of them die every day without ever hearing about Jesus or what he’s done for them.
So now what?
It’s sad, you hate those statistics. You want everyone to know Jesus! But what do you do? How can you help?
I’m glad you asked.
Here are 4 ways you can be a part of our mission to reach the unreached for Christ!
1. Prayer
We need to pray for them. We need to pray for the unreached to have dreams and visions of Jesus. We need to pray for more workers and for more resources. We need to pray for every single one of the 3 billion unreached souls. While that seems like a huge task (and it is), there are some helpful tools to make it easier.
Our Prayer Resources page gives you multiple prayer guides and downloadable PDFs to help you pray your way through the unreached. You can even join The 
Prayer Force, which sends daily emails about ways to pray for the unreached and the missionaries among them.
Joshua Project is another great resource that has prayer calendars, videos, and creative ideas for praying for the unengaged and unreached. If you want a comprehensive list of groups or countries to pray for, Operation World gives you the option to pray by country, region, or through specific calendars and guides.
You could also plan a prayer group or event to highlight the need for prayer among the unreached. Joshua Project has some exciting ideas on how to get people praying together in creative ways.
No matter what you choose, the first step to reaching the unreached is prayer!
2. Bring Awareness
We also need to bring awareness about the task ahead. Many Christians and churches are still unaware of the sheer number of unreached people left in the world. People often believe that between technology and missionaries the whole world has had a chance to hear the gospel, but that is unfortunately not the case. Whether it’s because of their geographical location, government restrictions, or other reasons, billions of people have still not heard about Jesus. You can help the church become aware by being a spokesperson for the unreached!
One great way to do that is by booking the Wall of Unreached People for your church or missions event. This series of panels lists every single unreached people group by name and includes their population and major religion. It’s an impressive and heart-wrenching sight to see all the lost souls represented by those panels. You can use the Wall for a Missions Emphasis Week, a youth event, or just a regular Sunday.
Another way to spread awareness is by speaking out for the unreached. Share videos, like this one, or this one that explain what unreached people groups are and the state of the task remaining. Follow Team Expansion on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see information and news about the unreached and share it among your friends and followers.
If you want to get your whole church involved, PACE is a great program that connects churches with unreached and walks you through your relationship with them, eventually leading to a disciple making movement among a previously unreached group!
3. Support a Missionary
We can’t all physically go to the unreached places in the world to bring the gospel, but some of us can. If you can’t go yourself, support someone who can! There are hundreds (if not thousands) of missionaries working tirelessly among the unreached who need more prayer, financial, and emotional support. Here’s a list of Team Expansion missionaries who would love to have a new partner in their ministry.
Another option is to support Team Expansion as an organization. Our entire focus is reaching the unreached. In fact, we only send missionaries to places where there are fewer than 5% evangelicals.
There are dozens of other great organizations also working toward the same goal. It doesn’t matter who you choose, but do choose to be involved in the Great Commission!
4. GO
Not everyone can go, but some can! If you feel a burden for the unreached and you think God might be calling you to go, then take that next step! There are 
multiple ways to serve, whether it’s for a week, a summer, a year, or 10 years.
