Who Are the Unreached?
Unreached people groups are communities where less than 2% of the population are followers of Jesus and where there is little to no access to the Gospel. These are places where the name of Jesus might never have been heard, and where there are no churches or Christian resources readily available. Today, over 3 billion people live in unreached contexts, representing more than 7,000 distinct people groups.
The task can feel overwhelming, but every small action we take can have an eternal impact.
13 Ways to Start 2025 with a Heart for the Unreached
As 2025 begins, here are 13 ways you can act and align your life with God’s mission to reach the nations. Inspired by Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,” these steps are practical and impactful ways to embrace the Great Commission.
PRAY
- Pray for One Unreached People Group
Choose one group to pray for daily or weekly, asking God to open hearts and send workers. - Pray for Missionaries
Lift up those already serving in hard-to-reach places, praying for their ministry, safety, and effectiveness. - Pray for Open Doors
Ask God to create opportunities for the Gospel to enter places where it is currently blocked.

LEARN
- Study Scripture About Missions
Dive into passages like Matthew 28:18–20 or Romans 10 to deepen your understanding of God’s heart for the nations. - Research Unreached People Groups
Use tools like the Joshua Project to learn about specific groups and their needs. - Attend a Missions Training or Conference

- Give Financially
