In Central Illinois, we started our family and our careers, and we made important friendships for 14 years. Then, God called us to leave all we had and begin our journey into full-time ministry in Italy. Our journey following Jesus has taken us across the street and around the world, making disciples who make disciples as we live on mission. It is our prayer that as we live on mission Loving God, Loving Others, and Teaching Them To Do The Same, the Holy Spirit will bring the transformation that is desperately needed to the country of Italy.
We believe a healthy church is the best witness to a hurting world. Believers stand strong when they don’t stand alone, and we are meant to live our lives in community. Here in Italy, dinner tables have the potential to be the most missional places in our lives. The table is where relationships begin and grow deep, and you learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together.
Even though more than 90% of Italians profess to be Christian, less than 1% attend a church more than 3 times per year. Postmodernism and post-Christian worldview are shaping the way Italians think and live. It may seem there is a cathedral on every corner, but there is no church in sight! Beautiful, ancient cathedrals that were intended to be houses of worship have sadly become more like museums walked through by tourists from all over the world.
Our vision is to catalyze a movement of disciples making disciples that form spiritually healthy and simple church communities that reproduce to all 20 regions in Italy. Our passion and excitement are being used by God to help train and equip ordinary people to have an extraordinary impact for the Kingdom!
