Media to Movement (M2M) Disciple Maker in West Africa

Media to Movement (also called Media to Disciple-Making Movement, M2M, or M2DMM) is a relatively new strategy that uses media to reach hundreds (or even hundreds-of-thousands) of people instantaneously with a culturally relevant Gospel message. M2M allows missionaries to cast a wider net and encounter seekers on the platforms they’re already using to find answers: Google, Facebook, Youtube, etc.
A M2M team member would have all the same responsibilities and qualifications of any full-time worker, but the majority of their time would be devoted to using Media to reach seekers with the Gospel and developing a strategy that would lead to a Disciple-Making Movement.

The West Africa team has a studio and are seeking team members that could create video, audio, or social media content.

Purpose/Goal of Ministry

To use different types of online media to engage seekers, connect them with believers, and train them in making disciples who make disciples. The heart of this strategy is to see the Lord catalyze disciple-making movements (DMM) in West Africa.

MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interest in learning about M2M strategies
  • Love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Love for the lost.
  • A burning compassion for and deep commitment to help unreached people groups.
  • Experience in ministry and discipleship (other areas, as needed for the respective precise role in the specific outreach)
  • Creativity.
  • Willingness to pray.
  • Administration skills, as needed, for maintaining a good relationship and accountability to supporters
  • Ability to work well with a group of volunteers.
  • Not given to a critical spirit
  • “Can-do” attitude
  • Self-starter
  • Willingness to utilize e-mail communication, or other means if email is unavailable
  • Willingness to live in the target area

  • Attend Launch, Kairos course, Jonathan Training, MTI, M2M courses and other necessary trainings

  • Train in the M2M strategy
  • Use M2M strategy in reaching potential disciples
  • Create and design creative and effective ministries to communicate Christ’s hope
  • Work harmoniously with other team members, encouraging them to do the same
  • Communicate responsibly
  • Pray daily for ministry needs
  • Seek the vision of the respective Team Leader
  • Grow spiritually
  • Evaluate constantly to help improve one’s ministries
  • Trust in God for the fulfillment of these ministries
