Quest: Media Based Disciple-Maker in Budapest

Purpose: To come alongside our team in Budapest to help advance our vision of seeing disciples won and churches planted in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the surrounding Ex-Yugoslavian countries and beyond. Although we live in Budapest, we have a strategic ministry plan that uses forms of media to make disciples in the surrounding areas of Budapest. If you do not know have media skills, that is ok. We desire first and foremost a desire to see God’s kingdom extend, if you are willing to learn we will train you in the desired skills.

What we Value:

• Passion for God, personally, is our foundation. Missions begins and ends in worship. We cannot proclaim that which we do not cherish.

• We are highly committed to the vision and mission. We value hard work and steadfastly moving towards accomplishing that which God has entrusted to us. We pray with the knowledge that it all depends on God but work like it depends on us. We do not measure our effectiveness based on what we see others doing or producing.

• We believe that God’s kingdom WILL advance in this land. God WILL produce fruit. We live expectantly asking and believing in faith that God will bring to fruition that which He has called us to do. God is more committed to seeing our target group reached than we are.

• All of our money and possessions are on loan from our Lord. We give up things we value for things we value even more. It’s an honor to sacrifice for Christ and His church and whether for projects or people, we will lead the way with irrational generosity.

• We recognize it is God who places those in authority over us and we must submit to their leadership and be intentionally and proactively accountable to them. I am not a volunteer to any organization able to do what seems right in my own eye, but a servant of God under authority, God’s and man’s.

• To be effective, we must be change-hardy because change on the field is the norm, not the exception. Flexibility is the ability to work beyond the limits of what makes us comfortable, adapt to various circumstances, change and rise to new challenges.

• Jesus established the Church to carry his message of hope to the world. As His followers, we value unity, healthy relationships, and mutual service, and, by God’s grace, we strive to live out that biblical model.
