Welcome to the Persian world, a land of Iranian bazaars and adobe cities, of pomegranates and saffron. Many say that Persian Muslims are more responsive to the Gospel today than any other ethnic group. In fact, the Church is growing fastest where persecution is greatest. Iran is a nation at the center of the Persian world. The 1979 Islamic Revolution slammed the door on the Gospel. Yet Iran is now the fastest growing Church in the world! Many Persians are disillusioned with Islam. Many Persians are suffering severe economic and physical hardship, making them open to the Hope of the Good News of Jesus. To God, there is no such thing as a closed door. Pray for curiosity to know more about Jesus and the Christians they see around them. Pray for Muslims to be invited into the homes and lives of followers of Jesus.
