In 1989, the Berlin Wall fell, marking the beginning of the end for European Communism and a re-opening of Eastern Europe to the Gospel. In 1991, Brother Andrew initiated ten years of intercession for the Muslim World. In 2002, 9/11 was the tragic catalyst that brought immense change to the Muslim world, including many great breakthroughs for the Good News of Jesus. In the past quarter century, twenty-six years of the annual publication, “30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World” have coincided with twenty-six years of unprecedented numbers of Muslims encountering Jesus.
Today’s grassroots prayer movements are bigger, wider, and deeper than at any time in history. International Prayer Connect (ipcprayer.org) attempts to track and collaborate with these. Started on the same day in 1999, 24/7 Prayer (www.24-7prayer.com) and International House of Prayer drew thousands of people into a worldwide, unbroken stream of prayer and worship of God. Operation World enables people to join in one rolling program of prayer for the nations throughout the year. (www.operationworld.org)
Most countries have their own prayer initiatives or houses of prayer; find out what is happening in your area and get involved. Father, we ask that the body of Christ would recover the centrality of prayer in devotional life and corporate worship. Father, we ask You to empower believers to pray for the nations.
Team Expansion Worker
PTL! M and C moved into their house in Central Asia on October 17! Continue to pray for the logistics of getting settled there and getting to know their new neighbors and landlord. Pray especially for the transition of our animals to this new place.
As they get settled in their new location, they will continue to travel regularly back and forth to the capital city. Please pray for them to find trustworthy people to care for their new home and their pets in their new place. How they will find good caregivers for their animals, particularly the horse, is stressful for C. Pray for peace about this situation and that the Lord will provide just the right person who knows horses and has a kind heart toward animals as part of God’s creation.

Ian is struggling lately with some depression. This is not new, but pray for him to be encouraged, and for the Lord to bring him a good friend and mentor. PTL that he has started working for a guy doing home remodel jobs. The experience Ian got in Kentucky is really coming in handy now. Things are going well for H at Studio. Pray for her to be able to provide healthy meals and to make the necessary adjustments for students with food allergies. She completed her final training week with Team Expansion in Kentucky, and is an official recruit now. She will remain in San Diego and manage the digital aspects of M and C’s ministry. Pray for her as she begins the support raising stage and prepares to join the team in January 2025!
