What comes to mind when you think of the city of Kabul? Bombings? Extremism? Danger? These are all accurate right now. Numerous NGOs worked in Kabul after the Taliban was removed, but most have left now as the security situation continues to decline. Islamic extremism and criminal activity have made the city so dangerous that relatively few foreigners remain. Yet, this is not the complete picture. Kabul is growing rapidly and has significant influence over areas where few have heard the Good News of Jesus Christ! Gospel seeds continue to be spread across the city, and people from multiple ethnic groups are now following Jesus. Yet, the vast multitudes are still traumatized and without hope. Only Jesus can set the people of Kabul free from fear and from the weight of their own sin. Pray for freedom from the chains of addiction, terror, violence, and corruption. Pray for the love of Jesus to replace despair with hope. Pray for massive advancement of the Gospel through dreams, visions, and courageous proclamation. https://www.prayercast.com/kabul.html

Taiwan remains a stronghold of Buddhism and Taiwanese folk religion. Over 90% of Taiwanese see themselves somewhere in the spectrum of Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, and Taiwanese folk religion. Only prayer and God’s power can destroy this stronghold and make a way for Jesus to reign in the hearts of the people of Taiwan. Pray earnestly for Jesus to reign.
