During a setup/explore trip to Lebanon recently, one of our workers came across a man who had suffered from a debilitating back injury most of his life. His injury was so severe, the man could barely walk. For 14 years, he had badgered leaders at the mosque, but to no avail. No one could heal him.
But then, a couple of local Christ-followers happened across the man. They offered to pray for him in Jesus’ name, and challenged him to consider following the God who alone can heal him. The man was desperate. He was ready to try anything.
The two local Christ-followers began to pray, and pray, and pray. The next day, the man got out of bed with zero back injury!
The man began to walk and leap. He eagerly began following Jesus. When he met our workers, he told them the whole story — even re-enacting the walking and leaping!
