Zenaibel is a young woman who is from Venezuela who has one child. She has been living in Ecuador for only three months.
For two years in Venezuela, Zenaibel heard the Word of God, but because of the people she knew who were supposedly religious, she thought she needed a thorough knowledge of the Bible and that she had to live without sin to be baptized. Because of these burdens, she moved away from God, and she no longer attended church. She did not want anything to do with Christians.
The believers in Ecuador met Zenaibel through her sister-in-law when they came together to the church service. After the service, Zenaibel asked several questions about how to have a relationship with Jesus. She noticed that the church wasn’t judging or critical, and she felt very welcomed.
The believers offered to do a series of discovery lessons with Zenaibel, and she agreed. After completing the third lesson, Zenaibel decided to get baptized. She wants to change her life and know God through Christ Jesus. She learned that a relationship with Jesus is not the same as a demanding religion. She is very happy to have been baptized and begin a new life in Christ Jesus. She is already connected in a ministry that encourages her to love her neighbors like in the parable of the Good Samaritan.
