June 1, 2018
Team Expansion General Request
Ramadan (May 13-June 14) is a month of fasting for many Muslims. It is a time of self-examination and increased religious devotion. Followers of Islam are encouraged to read and recite the entire Qur’an through special prayers known as ‘Tarawih’, which are held in mosques every night of the month. Ask God to reveal Jesus to Muslims during this season of Ramadan. Ask God to create a hunger for His Word and a devotion to memorizing and obeying His inherent Word.
Final 58 in Laos
There are 58 unengaged/unreached people groups remaining in Laos. Plans are in motion to reach these last people groups. A survey team is confirming the name and location of each people group. When the survey is complete, Lao missionaries will be sent to start making disciples and planting churches. Ask God’s protection over survey team and His guidance to find each group. Ask God to prepare workers to serve each group making up the list of Final 58.
Gospel Breakthrough
Workers have requested we pray for a great movement of God among these specific people groups or cities in which they serve: the Serbs of Bosnia; the Khmer in Cambodia; the Punjabi Sikhs in India; Ancona and Rome, Italy; Tokyo, Japan; the Mien of Laos; the Druze in Syria; and the people of Taiwan.

Join Diana Molina in praying for the operation and recuperation of the Warao brother who was hospitalized. Pray for Venezuela to honor God. Pray for the trip to Cucuta, Colombia. Pray for Diana Molina’s parents, for the provision of treatment and medicine. Praise God for opportunities to begin work in a new village.

June 2, 2018
Team Expansion General Request
Iraq has been involved in 3 major painful, ugly, costly, divisive and destructive wars in the last 32 years. In addition to wars, there were murderous dictatorial oppression, uprisings and nationalist actions, causing tens of thousands of deaths. There are about 1,000,000 widows in Iraq, living in a society which restricts female work and social activities. Having enough well-paying work to raise a family is beyond their ability or possibility.  Pray for Iraqi widows to be given the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Ask God to supply their daily needs and give them hope in their deep despair.

Pray for the Akeu, 3,100 followers of ethnic religions.
Pray for the Alak, 23,500 followers of ethnic religions.
Pray that God would create a dissatisfaction with their animistic religions and prove that Jesus is more powerful and can release them from fear and oppression.
Gospel Breakthrough: the Serbs of Bosnia
“Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts” Psalm 33:3. Pray that people in Bosnia will write and sing *new* songs in their own language to the LORD, songs of loud praise accompanied by their traditional instruments.

Join T and J in Southeast Asia in praying for the village of HD and for their family as they live there for the month of June. Pray for more people to join  team. Prayfor the village of PY and for the Mien people, that many will come to know Jesus. Pray for more team members focused on reaching the Mien. Pray for ministry opportunities with the staff at the coffee shop

“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:6). LORD, let this kind of grace and justice break into the landscape of Libya as they fast from physical things during their holy season of Ramadan.

Once the sun sets below the horizon, mosques (sometimes with cannons) announce the break of the day’s fast. The streets are empty and quiet, all shops are closed, and you can literally hear the rattle of plates and silverware as families eat together. O God, we pray that one day many of these same families will worship together in their homes, to the Lamb who was slain and is worthy of all praise!

When God’s church has multiplied rapidly in regions, it has almost always done so through whole families being touched by the Gospel of Jesus. Pray today for whole families to see the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Gospel Breakthrough: the Khmer in Cambodia
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4. Pray that spiritual strongholds Satan has over the Khmer would be broken and that they would experience the freedom of God that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

Join Jorge and Sara Navarrete (Venezuela) in praying for the conversions of Alberto, Kenneth, Ismely, Carel, as well as soccer players and Pah Play,Ye Da, and Marcos from the English classes. Ask God to continue to raise up Alex, Ismael, and Kevin to serve with Ricardo. Pray for boldness to witness at every opportunity. Pray for peace in Venezuela and that the Lord’s will be done. Pray for no problems in obtaining Jorge’s U.S. citizenship. Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with those who attend the English classes at the pork plant.

Praise God for drawing people out of Islam who are now followers of Jesus. Pray for national believers from Muslim background new and old who struggle through Ramadan as they relate with family members, decide whether to participate in fasting or not, and often are isolated from other believers when with their families.

Ask the God of Brilliant Light to shine on these people so they may see Jesus and lovingly obey Him.
Gospel Breakthrough: the Khmer in Cambodia
Many Khmer worship spirits and live in fear of evil spirits. Pray that the Khmer become Christ followers, flee from spiritual darkness and no longer subject to demonic influences but worship the One True God.

Pray for A and J as they work with local Christian applicants for a 3-year primary care residency training program at a medical clinic in southeast Asia. Four have been invited to spend a week with them to further evaluate their abilities. Two will eventually be selected to start training. Pray for discernment as they try to select the best candidates based on both their capacity as doctors and their passion to grow God’s Kingdom.

“So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said, ‘Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious’” (Acts 17:22). Though we mourn the spiritual darkness of Islam, we rejoice that their convictions about God open the door for conversations about Jesus. Thank You, Father, for the ways that You will create dialogue about grace and truth.

Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the World, and where there is light there can be no darkness. We pray that the darkness shrouding the Khmer be filled with the light of Jesus the Messiah. God, draw entire families and neighborhoods out of the darkness and into the Light

A and T in North Africa request that we pray for Tarek, that he might soon be baptized. Pray that he will stand firm in the face of the persecution that he is suffering from his family. Pray for Neder who is sharing with several people, among them Amira. Pray that she might soon be baptized. Pray for the discipling that Takwa is doing with Hiba and her relationship with Chams. Pray that Takwa’s and Behiya’s families might come to the feet of Jesus. Pray for Chams as she has already taken her step.

Ramadan is a time when Muslims seek to earn merit with God by abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours. Pray that many in the Muslim world would see that true cleanness and acceptance before God comes only through Jesus. For “He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)

As many Moroccans seek to be more spiritually sensitive in the month of Ramadan, let us agree together that the genuine hunger of many would be met through divine encounters with Jesus. Lord, we pray for visions, dreams, healings, and prophetic words of knowledge that cannot be denied and that bear fruit to Your glory.

Join L and T in praying for a movement of people who would come to know Jesus Christ on the island of S in 2018. T was able to share a video of a Gospel presentation with one of their neighbors and talk about the prophets a little bit. Mrs. U was polite but not open to the message. Pray for R and E as they begin their fundraising and process to join the team by the end of the year.

While Saudi Arabs go without food or water during daylight hours in these very days, Lord, would You awaken their souls to the superior satisfaction of Jesus. Oh, that their fasting this Ramadan would be far more than abstaining to be accepted by You.

Join Aisha Peterson in praying that the fathers of Franklinton, OH would have a desire to lead their families. Ask God to give Aisha’s team eyes to see where He is a t work in their neighborhood. Pray that the fresh food market and café would be a blessing to the community this summer. Pray down barriers to the Gospel being shared: things like addiction, anger, and violence. Pray that these would flourish in community, compassion, and trust in God in the neighborhood.

Bahrain lies between Iran and Saudi Arabia and consists of 30+ islands in the Arabian (Persian) Gulf. Open evangelism is not permitted, but believers can worship and minister using the Bible and Christian literature if they are sensitive to Arab culture. Christian professionals, workers, entrepreneurs find opportunities to engage Gulf Arabs. Pray for believers to creatively use these opportunities to meet and build relationships with Gulf Arabs so they may come to know Jesus and be used for His purpose and glory.

Pray that the people will become the friends of God and love Him with all their hearts.
Gospel Breakthrough: Ancona, Italy
Pray for God’s Word to convict the souls of each person in Discovery Bible Studies of their need for Jesus. Pray 2018 to be the year that each repent of their sins and believe in Jesus.

Join C and M in praying for their team in Central Asia. Ask for continued team unity. Pray for language acquisition for the newer families on the team. Pray for local believers to unashamedly share the Gospel with their friends and families. Pray for 50 baptisms by the end of 2018 and for 25 new groups as well. Pray for open hearts for the people with whom they talk.
