From a Team Expansion worker:

I met Jeremy from Illinois in North Africa in 2013. Since then, he and I have been sharing life together, most of the time via phone, text and e-mail. Jeremy was first trained in DMM in November of 2014. He was quick to put into practice what he was learning. One of the DMM principles is to be sure to listen to the Holy Spirit and obey.

Jeremy’s wife Lindsay was in a Starbucks with their daughters and the barista asked her if she wanted an extra leftover drink. She took it and immediately sensed that the Holy Spirit wanted her to give it to someone else, someone that He would show her.

She told her daughters and they went driving and were led to a man named Richard standing on the side of the street. They picked him up and gave him the extra coffee and gave him a ride to the hospital for cancer treatment. This led to many conversations about the Lord, and Richard gave his life to Jesus.

Jeremy baptized him and Richard became a bold follower of Jesus until the day he died this year, at the young age of 39. During that time, many Gospel seeds were sown among Richard’s network of friends and family.

Jeremy and Lindsay are now members of our D-Course team in Shawnee (a part of inner city Louisville) and seeking to start a DMM in a community that has seen 100 murders so far this year.
