France is full of many beautiful but mostly empty church buildings as many are simply viewed as historical buildings. Today, less than 5% of French people go to any sort of church. Most identify themselves as non-practicing Catholics. The most widely practiced religion is Islam. But there is hope. Recent events, such as terrorist attacks, the Yellow Vest protests and the Notre Dame fire, are causing many to ask and search for life’s meaning and purpose. Many are looking again and reconsidering Jesus Christ.
We are working with Poitiers Christian Church to plant new simple house churches throughout the city and the region. We will be using the Zúme Project to train every believer in making disciples. We pray to have each able to evangelize, disciple and train more workers through Three Thirds or Discovery Bible Studies. We are praying to do the same with the 25,000 university students who come to study in Poitiers each year so that they may start churches wherever they go throughout France and beyond after graduation!
You can make disciples too wherever you are. Start training today with a group of Christian friends and go to https://zumeproject.com/ to find out more! Everyone needs to know how great our God is!
